I have an extensive background in dance, dancing a variety of styles in studios from a young age, performing as a member of my dance team in high school, studying dance in college, and coaching. It is through my participation in dance that I first became interested in physical therapy and discovered its value in the prevention of and recovery from injuries to allow for safe, competitive participation in sport.

I earned my bachelor of science degree from UW – Madison in 2014 where I majored in kinesiology and received a certificate in dance movement therapy. This allowed me to study the human body in detail with relation to movement as not only beneficial for physical health, but also for mental health. I then went on to graduate with my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the U of M – Twin Cities in 2017. Since that time, I have developed a passion for treating people with orthopedic and sport-related injuries, as well as a variety of pelvic health conditions including incontinence, pelvic pain, and pregnancy-related conditions.

My approach to physical therapy is to always prioritize each patient’s goals and to develop interventions centered around achieving those goals. I believe that physical therapy is most successful when viewed as a patient/therapist collaboration, so I work closely with each patient to develop a treatment plan that is both effective and feasible within each patient’s busy life.

I currently live in Lakeville with my husband, who is also a physical therapist at Viverant, and my daughter. In my free time, I enjoy spending time at the family cabin, doing craft projects, decorating for the holidays, and watching the Minnesota Vikings.
