Mark is a Minnesota native who returned home in 2014 after beginnig his career in California. He attended college at UCLA and received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Chapman University in Orange, CA right next to Disneyland. Mark spent 9 years treating sports and orthopedic patients in clinics in San Francisco and Berkeley, California and worked closely with a number of athletes from Cal University.
Mark has advanced certification as an Orthopedic Certified Specialist and as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. He also has specialized sports training in golf rehab as a Titleist Performance Institute medical provider and has his FIFA diploma to treat injured soccer players.
However, his treatment approach is most shaped by the time he spent at the Movement Performance Institute in Los Angeles. This is a 6 month series of courses in a sports and movement science lab. The program is designed to integrate advanced technology into the clinical practice of Physical Therapy. Mark uses his skills learned there to perform detailed biomechanics assessments on all his patients in order to determine all underlying problems related to a patient’s injury so he can optimize their treatment program to return them to their highest level of activity as efficiently as possible. Mark is the only PT in Minnesota to have completed this training.
Away from the clinic, you’ll find Mark chasing after his young son, keeping the house warm for his wife and daydreaming about the ocean.
