I am a Minnesota native who returned home in 2014 after beginning my career in California. I attended college at UCLA and received my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Chapman University in Orange, CA right next to Disneyland. I spent 9 years treating sports and orthopedic patients in clinics in San Francisco and Berkeley, California and worked closely with a number of athletes from Cal University.
I have advanced certifications as an Orthopedic Certified Specialist and as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. I also have specialized sports training in golf rehab as a Titleist Performance Institute medical provider and have my FIFA diploma to treat injured soccer players.
However, my treatment approach is most shaped by the time I spent at the Movement Performance Institute in Los Angeles. This is a 6 month series of courses in a sports and movement science lab. The program is designed to integrate advanced technology into the clinical practice of Physical Therapy. I use the skills learned there to perform detailed biomechanics assessments on all my patients in order to determine all underlying problems related to a patient’s injury so I can optimize their treatment program to return them to their highest level of activity as efficiently as possible. I am the only PT in Minnesota to have completed this training.
Away from the clinic, you’ll find me chasing after my young son, keeping the house warm for my wife and daydreaming about the ocean.
