Amy Stuke, FAAOMPT

I have practiced physical therapy for over 30 years, graduating from UW La Crosse in 1993, and still have a passion for learning. I have always had a love of manual (hands on) therapy and received a Master’s in Manual Therapy and fellowship training through the International Academy of Orthopedic Medicine. Later, I did post graduate work through Texas Tech University and become a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT). I also have advanced training in myofascial release through John Barnes, visceral and neural mobilization through the Barral Institute, and energy healing through INEH.

I specialize in women’s and men’s pelvic health, including bladder/bowel dysfunction and pelvic/abdominal pain. I also excel in treating spinal problems, especially the head and neck, and work with those who have chronic issues post-concussion. I have a strong interest in neuroscience and incorporate polyvagal theory into my practice. I emphasize nervous system retraining and balancing to create optimal body functioning and healing.

I bring an eclectic, intuitive, hands-on approach to physical therapy and treat the body as a whole and not just a body part. I partner with my patients in their healing process, sharing my knowledge of exercise and stabilization training, self-care techniques, and strategies for at home so they can meet their goals.

In my free time, when I am not reading, you will find me outside either in my garden or around/on the city lakes. And in the winter trying to keep up with my husband and two kids on the ski slopes or playing with my dog, who loves the snow.
